How could they fake their ages?
Even if there was no internet in the 80s, how did they(I mean Dieter and Nora) manage to fake their age? The administrative system in Germany in the 80s couldn't have been that messy.
They are powerful people. They can easily do it. It's not big deal at all.
No matter how powerful you are, it's hard to forge a birth certificate, at least in my country. Is it a cultural difference?
It has nothing to do with cultural difference. Their fake ages only show up in the media. While their real ages might all be in the passports, IDs etc. If magazines wrote later that Dieter was born in 1954 doesn't mean that their birth certificates also changed.
In north america we always say that before 9/11 you could do...forge...change, just about anythingIF you knew/know the right people. Money talks...
That's pretty much the same case for all those who have power. In Bohlen's case is that he was only able to lie about his age in magazines and it's not "punishable". In passport he can show a different age and we dont know it.
When I googled Nora Balling it said she was born in 1964. I am confused if Google got her age wrong or it is easy to forge ages on Google profiles.
Her birthdate in public is shown as 1964. But for her there isn't even a German Wiki profile. There are Wiki profiles for her in other languages (e.g. Spanish) but in German no. I suppose because she was known to be a "stupid unimportant girl"
On Google you won't find anything. Especially in English. It is only our site you can "trust" on. And old magazines from 1980s.
Dieter for example, in all old magazines is always shown as born in 1958 or born in 1954. We lean towards 1958 only because he admitted to it first hand. It was only after success of MT that he decided to change his year, first 1953, then stuck with 1954.
It would be interesting to read retro articles BEFORE Modern Talking period. Like we found from that 1984 Single Cover that reads Thomas and Dieter were acquianted in January 1981 and not February 1983.
